What happens when women embody Shakespeare's Kings and Warriors?
An all-female cast exploring Shakespeare's Kings
With monologues in their original form,
only through the embodiment of a woman,
a test on how that affected the narratives
(unlike women playing men)
Whether the funeral eulogy from a pregnant Antony (Stine Gyldenkerne)
Lady Lear, dealing with teenage daughters
(Kristine Nørgaard Sørensen)
or a furious Henry V declaring war
(Nina Ingemann) it proved a somersault to the perspective and perception of the characters
and scenario.
